China Leather Industry Environmental Protection Innovation Award Will Be Held

On July 2008 12-13, the appraisal committee of China leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award was held in the National Federation of trade unions office building.

He stressed that the assessment process should be based on the principles of fairness, impartiality, science and preciseness, ensure the quality and strictly control, keep the secrets of the commercial technology, and be responsible to the enterprises.

At the meeting, the representatives of the accreditation experts spoke: they must understand the requirements of the Organizing Committee for the evaluation criteria, strictly control the quality and do a good job in the evaluation.

Subsequently, the expert judges of the "Innovation Award" evaluation group started a tight project appraisal in a fair, scientific and responsible manner.

After one and a half days of technical review, the evaluation group experts put forward evaluation opinions and reward level suggestions, and then reported to the "Innovation Award" Award Committee.

Jia Yanmin, chairman of the China finance, trade, light textile and tobacco trade union, and other leaders, received the expert judges of the "Innovation Award" evaluation group in the first meeting room of the 6 floor of the National Federation of trade unions, and made important speeches, which reflected the high attention and strong support of the Federation of trade unions and the China Light Industry Federation.

At the meeting, Xu Yong, executive director of the "Innovation Award" Award Committee, introduced the China Leather Association and the China finance, trade, light textile and tobacco trade union jointly to carry out the "China leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award commendation" and the evaluation meeting.

Xu Yong pointed out: in order to carry out the spirit of the 17th CPC National Congress, implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, promote the realization of the national "energy saving and emission reduction targets" in 11th Five-Year, promote the independent innovation of enterprises, adopt the advanced, economical and reasonable energy saving and emission reduction technologies, and promote the sustainable development of leather industry. In September 2007, the six Council of the China Leather Association first enlarged meeting adopted the resolution on establishing the "environmental protection innovation award for leather industry". At the beginning of 2008, the China Light Industry Federation and the all China Federation of trade unions annual joint meeting, the China Leather Association and the China finance and trade textile and tobacco trade union agreed to jointly carry out the commendation activities of the national leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award.

The purpose of this activity is to guide the industry's innovation in the field of energy saving and emission reduction. It relies on scientific and technological progress to promote the promotion of mature and advanced technology in the field of energy saving and emission reduction in the industry, and it is a public welfare activity to promote energy saving, emission reduction, environmental protection and self-discipline in the industry.

In order to better carry out this activity, the China Leather Association and the China finance and trade light textile trade union set up the Award Committee of the China leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection Innovation Award Committee, and formulated the "China leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award award method" and "China leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award implementation rules".

The China Leather Association and the China finance, trade, light textile and tobacco trade union are jointly responsible for the organization of the Award activities; the local leather associations and the local industry trade unions are responsible for the recommendation and preliminary examination of the projects for innovation awards in their respective administrative areas.

In mid April of this year, the China Leather Association and the China finance, trade, light textile and tobacco trade union issued the notice on the commendation of the national leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award.

According to the requirements of the selection, the local leather associations and industrial unions strictly grasp the scope of selection and the conditions for selection, organize the recommendation and declaration of the projects in this area, and declare that the enterprises submit the "China leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction environmental protection innovation award" and related materials as required.

The local leather associations and industrial unions have made preliminary examination on the declared materials, and put forward the preliminary examination opinions, and submitted them to the office of the award Award Committee.

After reviewing the form of the application materials, 12 items entered the final evaluation, and finally 7 projects entered the recommended list.

The Award Committee will organize relevant experts to conduct on-site inspection of the proposed award-winning projects, make an investigation report, make a comprehensive evaluation according to the experts' technical evaluation opinions and the results of the survey, put forward the awarding projects and grades, publicize the nominated projects in the China Leather net and China finance and Trade Light textile tobacco union network, and finally approve the Award Committee, confirm the final awarding project, and will issue certificates to the first batch of awarding projects during the second enlarged meeting of the six Council of China Leather Association in early September 2008.
