Breakthrough In High Yield Technology Of Million Mu Cotton In Gansu

A major project, "integrated innovation and industrialization development of super high yield technology of million mu cotton in Hexi Corridor of Gansu province" has been selected. 4 new cotton lines have been selected, and 2 10000 ton cotton seed processing lines have been built, breaking the precedent of traditional production lines that can not produce more than 60 branches of high count yarn.

In 2006, the "technology innovation and industrialization development of super high yield technology in the Hexi Corridor of Gansu province" was launched.

After 3 years of implementation, 4 new cotton lines with early maturity, disease resistance, high quality and high yield were selected, and the super high yield technical system of cotton was formed. The original seed base of 7430 cotton plants was established, and 2 million tons of cotton seed processing lines were built. The pattern of specialization, planting scale, quality standardization and deep processing products was formed, and the regionalization of high-quality cotton varieties in Gansu province was realized.

Through technological pformation, technological innovation and some equipment investment, we developed and developed 60 cotton, 80 and 100 cotton yarn products with high quality and pure cotton, breaking the precedent of the traditional production line that can not produce more than 60 high yarn, and improving the core competitiveness of the enterprise.

By 2008, the total output value of the project was 1 billion 920 million yuan, the new production increase value was 800 million yuan, the new profit and tax was 164 million yuan, and the farmers in the project area increased their income from the cotton industry by 200 yuan.
