Deckers To Increase Sales Of Counterfeit UGG Boots

Recently, Deckers has been making great efforts to sell counterfeit UGG boots. The company revealed that in 2007, tens of thousands of fake UGG boots were not harvested in Melbourne, Australia.

Counterfeit boots are sold in countries like eBay and Britain.

In response, Deckers has developed a counterfeiting scheme to monitor online sales, such as eBay, cooperate with international customs and law enforcement authorities, investigate and attack counterfeit UGG boots, lawmakers and so on.

In 2009, according to Deckers's request, eBay terminated the sale of counterfeit UGG boots, and 2500 websites selling fake UGG boots were closed, most of which were Chinese websites.

The customs confiscated more than 60000 counterfeit UGG boots from some countries, including Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia, Ireland, Britain, the United States and so on.

According to the US Customs 2009 report, counterfeit footwear is the most common confiscation product, accounting for 1/3 of the total confiscation, clothing, handbags, auto parts, cigarettes and medicine.

In the past few years, counterfeit footwear products have become more and more popular, and the larger sales volume is online sales.
