Pakistan'S Textile Exports Will Exceed $10 Billion

Exports are growing rapidly, and in the 2009-10 fiscal year, Pakistan's textile exports will exceed 10 billion dollars.
In the coming fiscal year, textile exports will reach US $10 billion 244 million, compared with $9 billion 572 million in the previous year, an increase of 7%.
According to data released on Tuesday by the Federal Statistical Bureau (FBS), textile exports increased by 9.81% to $921 million in June, compared with $839 million in the same period last year.

It jumped to $1 billion 417 million, up 27.13%, compared with $1 billion 114 million in the previous year.
Exports of raw cotton increased by 124% to $195 million, and exports of US $87 million last year, and yarn exports other than cotton yarn also increased by 100%.
Cotton and cotton combs and combed exports were reduced by 7% and 24% respectively.
Value-added textile products show mixed feelings, some products export declined, and some products export growth.
Knitted garment
Exports grew by 1.16% to $1 billion 761 million, compared with exports of $1 billion 740 million last year.
Bedding exports fell slightly by 0.64% to $1 billion 723 million, compared with exports of $1 billion 735 million last year.
Bath towel exports increased by 5.17% to $676 million, compared with exports of $642 million last year, and ready-made clothing exports increased by 4.33% to $1 billion 283 million, compared with 1 billion 230 million US dollars last year.
