European Union

Since July this year, European Union The 2009/425/EC directive is officially launched to limit the use of specific organotin compounds in consumer products. The directive 2009/425/EC stipulates that since July 1, 2010, the EU has restricted the use of three butyltin and three phenyl tin compounds in all consumer goods, and the limit requirement is that the mass percentage concentration of tin content in commodities is less than 0.1%. If the detection exceeds the standard, the batch of consumer products will be subject to a recall or severe recall penalty.

The organotin compounds concerned in this directive include three butyltin, three phenyl tin compounds and two butyltin and two octyltin compounds, of which the first two are officially started in July 1, 2010, and the latter two are January 1, 2012. The above four organotin compounds are widely used in consumer products, such as shoe bottom, socks and Sportswear Antibacterial finishing, additives in polyurethane foam production process, stabilizer in PVC production process, or catalyst in silicone rubber production process.

According to statistics, in the actual production process, the whole world Tin production 10%~20% is used for the synthesis of organotin compounds. This shows that the application of this substance is extensive. Moreover, organotin compounds are harmful to organisms and cause diabetes and hyperlipidemia.

The national footwear Standardization Technical Committee has proposed to declare the standard project plan for children's sports shoes and children's sandals. This means that the national standard of children's shoes is in the process of brewing.

It is reported that, as one of the three domestic children's shoes manufacturing bases in parallel with Guangzhou and Wenzhou, Quanzhou children's shoes enterprises are actively participating in the preparation of the Specialized Committee to study the relevant standards to cope with the possible changes in children's shoes standards. At present, because children's sports shoes and children's sandals are no national standard, the quality of children's shoes in the market is not good, and some enterprises even follow the adult standards to produce children's shoes.
