Indonesia Ade Sudrajat Usman Sudrajat Usman, President of API, recently said that the shortage of raw materials for industrial yarn in Indonesia is still serious, and the raw material gap of viscose fiber is about 100 thousand tons, which accounts for about 30% of the total demand, which may have an impact on the production of Indonesian textile industry this year. (Ade Sudrajat) It is understood that Indonesia's total demand for rayon is 300 thousand tons / year.

At present, Indonesia has two families. Rayon Manufacturing enterprises, South Pacific Viscose ( SPV) and PT India Barat rayon (Heb) company. Indonesia's textile and human cotton yarn businesses are highly dependent on the supply of these two companies. However, the products of these two companies are widely used for export, and their export volume even exceeds their domestic sales volume. With the increase of demand, the scale of production of the two companies has gradually expanded. SPV now has a capacity of 220 thousand tons / year, while the India Barat company has a capacity of 170 thousand tons / year.

Ade Sudrajat Usman said that because of the limited supply of domestic production enterprises in Indonesia, the demand for local viscose fibers has been rising, and demand is also expanding. It is difficult for local yarn producers to use imported viscose fibers to relieve raw material pressure, because viscose fiber imports are less than 30 thousand tons / year. Viscose fibers have become an important textile raw material in the absence of natural fibers such as cotton.

The Indonesian textile association appealed to accelerate the development of related raw materials in China and strive to find ways to solve the bottleneck of raw materials.
