The Competition For Women'S Costume Design Started.

The day before yesterday, the sixth "COCOON Cup" China International Women's wear designer Grand Prix was launched in Hangzhou.

The event aims to train outstanding professional designers. Winners of the competition can receive scholarships provided by the Hangzhou government and go to advanced international design institutes for free. Therefore, Chinese designers say that the contest can "change the fate of designers".

The competition started at the end of March, and received a total of 2666 articles. The entries included not only domestic designers, but also Chinese students from France, Britain and other countries.

In addition to students, there are over 300 career designers.

7 top domestic designers served as judges, and the 35 groups were selected from the more than 2000 works.

One of the judges, Liu Yang (the top prize winner of Chinese fashion designer and vice-chairman of the China Fashion Designers Association) said that from his works, he saw the passion of the younger generation of designers.

The reporter learned from the Hangzhou economic and Trade Commission that in the first two competitions, 18 designers had been awarded the support from the Hangzhou municipal government to Italy Europe Design Institute and the French high fashion Union College for one to two years, and the municipal government invested 300 thousand to 500 thousand of them.

At present, 12 people have returned to school, some have created their own designer brands, some have served as the leading designers in famous brands, and some have entered professional colleges to engage in clothing education.

The municipal government has also given several start-up funds.
