Wangfujing: diversification helps growth


In the first half of the year, Wangfujing's revenue reached 6 billion 740 million yuan, an increase of 27.9% over the same period last year, and the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies increased 17.23% to 244 million yuan, of which the northwest region grew fastest.


In the main business of Wangfujing, the revenue of general merchandise retail business was 6 billion 534 million yuan, an increase of 28.28% over the same period, and the income of real estate development was 13 million 240 thousand yuan, an increase of 1006% over the same period last year.

The highest growth rate was in the northwest region, and the turnover increased 50% in the first half of this year, reaching 578 million yuan.


Wangfujing department store said that in addition to the favorable environment for consumption, Wangfujing has also made dynamic adjustments in the first half of this year by adding new stores and area stores to 2009, so that it constantly adapts to the local market and seeks breakthroughs in high-end brand merchandise resources, which has a good effect on performance improvement.

This year, the 55 year old Wangfujing department store intends to introduce "fashionable children" - the sub brand HQ Shang Ke.

In September 16th, the first store of the brand will be opened in Chung Kun Plaza, Dazhong temple.


HQ Shang Ke is the abbreviation of English Fashion Headquarters, meaning "fashion headquarters".

HQ is still young, fashionable and popular. It locks the customers of the "new generation" group and shows the latest fashion elements.

At present, a number of well-known businesses have entered the Plaza of Zhong Kun. HQ Shang Ke store will become neighbors with Carrefour and Xinhua Jiao Chuan cinema.
