The proportion of industrial textiles for textile processing in China's textile industry has increased year by year, from 13.6% in 2005 to 19.5% in 2009. It effectively meets the needs of various industries for industrial textiles and has made positive contributions to the development of the national economy.

During the "11th Five-Year" period, technical equipment of key textile enterprises in the fields of medical and health textiles, filter textiles, geosynthetics, automotive interior materials and other fields were close to or reached the international advanced level; the development of specialized materials for industrial textiles also made a breakthrough; the key technology research and industrialization tasks of industrial textiles in the key areas were progressing smoothly.

With the sustained and steady development of China's economy, industrial textiles have gradually become a new growth point in the development of textile industry.

At the same time, the implementation of the textile industry adjustment and revitalization plan has brought more opportunities to the industrial textiles industry.

The development of major infrastructures such as railways, airports, water conservancy and electric power has greatly increased the demand for geosynthetics and other industrial textiles.
