Recently, reporters learned from AOKANG, a famous shoemaking enterprise in Zhejiang, that they are currently the first brand in Taiwan footwear industry.

According to the information of the Taiwan Affairs Office, there were about more than 50 enterprises invested by Lu capital to Taiwan in September, with a total investment of US $133 million.

At present, five enterprises in Zhejiang have been approved, and many projects including AOKANG are in talks.


Xie Shanglong, deputy general manager of AOKANG, told reporters that compared with Taiwan counterparts, AOKANG now has absolute advantages in technology, style, stores and sales.

AOKANG sells more than 4 billion a year, and has more than 4600 stores in the mainland. In Taiwan, however, due to geographical reasons, there are only more than 200 stores in the largest leather shoes business, with annual sales of about one hundred million, and the market capacity is close to that of a city in Hangzhou, Zhejiang.

But AOKANG hopes to take advantage of the thin brand advantage to make up for its lack of high-end brands, while AOKANG can make great efforts to develop the mainland market.


The two sides will set up a joint venture in mainland China and Taiwan, selling thin shoes on the mainland and marketing AOKANG shoes in Taiwan.

AOKANG hopes to open more than 400 AOKANG stores in Taiwan, and open more than 1000 A Shou shoe stores in the mainland.


Zhejiang is the first private enterprise in the mainland to enter the island. It is mainly engaged in the import and export of textiles.

Yao Boming, general manager, told reporters that Taiwan's textile industry's R & D capability, management experience and international level are first-rate. They hope to invest in Taiwan to enhance their competitiveness in the world.

For example, Taiwan LED applied in the concept of special clothing, they applied to export clothing in Europe immediately got a good response.


"Taiwan's textile enterprises are not clean enough to find a cloth head." Yao Boming feels that this level of management is worth learning from mainland China.


Zhejiang Hongda holdings, which is also the textile industry, is currently cooperating with the largest testing center in Taiwan's textile industry.

Hongda holding Shen chairman told reporters that the Taiwan test center has 350 researchers, more than 65% of master degree or above.

But at present, the cooperation between the two sides is still in negotiation because of the issue of intellectual property.


"Like to cooperate with us, but we are afraid that we will eat them".

Shen laughs.


Qiu Xiaoling, director of the Zhejiang Office of Taiwan Affairs, believes that the land capital is still in the stage of crossing the river by feeling the stones. Zhejiang's capital is longer than that of the manufacturing industry. However, due to the consideration of the cost market factors, Zhejiang capital's entry into the island is not just for grabbing Taiwan's Island market, but more importantly, it hopes to win a win-win situation by way of cooperation.
