Vietnam Speeds Up Textile And Garment Exports To Japan

In May 10th, the Vietnamese State Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) and the Japanese Marubeni commercial association signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation in Hanoi, for the two countries once again.

The Kasuhita Yabe, the head of the Ministry, signed the memorandum of understanding.


Le Tien Truong, deputy general manager of Vietnam textile and Garment Group, said that the memorandum of understanding will help Vietnam textile and Garment Group expand its market in Japan, and call for investment cooperation, training and technology pfer to achieve sustainable development of the two garment sector and partner groups.


As a large multinational group, Marubeni Commercial Association will produce fast partnership with the member companies and branches of Vietnam textile and Garment Group, and trade clothing products in Japan.


Statistics from Vietnam textile and apparel group show that

It is the third largest importer of Vietnamese clothing and is growing at an average rate of 12% per year.

Vietnam - Japan economic partnership agreement came into operation in October 1, 2009, which has provided more favorable conditions for Vietnamese clothing exporters.
