The new Guangdong college students' Fashion Design Competition

At the end of the curtain in Guangzhou, 25 contestants from universities and colleges were fighting for a long battle. Finally, Ruan Yueyun, the 22 player of the textile and garment Institute of Guangzhou University, won the championship.

Liu Shidou is a direct brother of Ruan Yueyun. He also came out from this stage. He not only won the gold prize in the 2006 contest, but also arranged the best creative award. The design works were instantly matched by the brand, hoping for mass production, and he was almost grabbed by a certain company as a designer.

His deeds were conveyed by the academic circles at that time.

But Liu Shi dau now runs its own clothing company, independent design and production, not large, is planning to launch an independent brand next year.

  


After becoming "the champion", there were many brands to negotiate about the employment, but Liu Shidou listened to the advice of the instructor and chose to enter the garment factory and start from the pattern maker.

"Working in a factory is not as easy and elegant as the picture of the office. I do all the most basic work, very hard, but I can learn a lot of practical work and really realize how a garment is produced."

Four or five months later, Liu Shidou was promoted to the factory director and the more than 30 man under management. At that time, he was only 24 years old.

In order to understand the operation of the whole industry, he went to Pierre Cardin's men's wear brand as designer for second years. This time he contacted the market level, and really realized how to design clothes to be more suitable for consumers.

Until 2008, he felt that the conditions were ripe, and he jumped out to set up a studio. In the early stage, the design was the main one. Later, he moved the studio to some production lines in Baiyun District, and the production was also taken over. His business gradually began to open up. Now he is considering the operation and sale of the next year's personal brand.

  


Finally, "return to" the starting point of "initial expectation", Liu Shidou learned very well: "anyone who studies fashion design wishes to own his own brand. The route I am taking now is slightly tortuous, but it is very practical.

Through these two years of experience, I understand the production and understand the market, and I will not design those clothes that are full of air.

To be a designer is not only a bright identity, but also to learn to co-ordinate and learn to adapt and promote.

  


Since winning the prize, Liu Shidou will attend the competition every year, not only for his memory, but also for the performance of the later generations. He sighs, "now the students are getting more and more powerful, and their vision is broader than ours, and the design style is more personalized."

I remember that when he first watched the competition in 2005, he thought that if he had won the prize, he would be one foot in the design field. But after he really won the prize, he knew he was just entering another starting point.

Huang Xin, who already owns her own brand, has become popular with her at any time, naming the brand in her own English name, and doing a little bit of processing, becoming an interesting "ikkiNikki".

But for the time being, this lovely name is not widely seen. The physical display shop is set up in the litchi cubicle cubicle of the six road. Because the production is not keeping up, the works of this series only go to the autumn and winter of 2010. What is now being done is the autumn and winter 2011, which is very important for the Guangzhou market.

Because the litchi guild hall is not a street shop, and its customers are relatively narrow, Huang Xin had to put more sales hopes in Taobao store. She pointed to an asymmetrical tailoring jacket in autumn and winter last year, and announced happily that the dress list was sold for more than 100 pieces in Taobao.

  


Compared with most of the new brands that own their own studios or production lines, ikkiNikki is rather embarrassed. Huang Xin set his studio in his own home, but he sold it to a wholesale business friend, while the marketing work was limited to Taobao's model shooting.

Disgusted with the filming style of the "Taobao girl" on thousands of faces, she specially commissioned her friends to take a series of promotional photos that she thought were quite literary and artistic.

But Huang Xin's worry is still the problem of pressing goods, because the way to take delivery is limited, and the production can only passively limit the number of production at a time. Therefore, in case of bad sales situation, some designs can only be sent to some wholesale outlets by friends.

The reluctance to recover the cost of these products is pretty good.

  


But in the final analysis, Huang Xin still hopes to become a dress designer. For this reason, he has also studied Chaozhou's wedding dress brand for over a year.

In this process of independence, she also encountered many opportunities, such as the design of an environmental protection theme dress for the GF bank on the recommendation of his friends. During the Expo last year, he helped Guangdong Museum build dozens of sets of costumes and ten sets of boutique gowns for the 5D movie. The happiest experience was to design the costumes for the local beauty anchor Zhao Rong. The Red Skirt Petticoat Dress on the stage of the Lantern Festival came out of Huang Xin's handwriting. It is said that the cooperation between the two people is smooth and will help her build a series of new clothes in succession.

Hong Huang said in an interview that initially doing this store is a fun attitude, and second thought that this should be a very meaningful thing.

Because Chinese designers are not the most missing report now, in fact, they have been reported by many media. What they lack most is the inspection of the market. They especially need a platform. They need a variety of places to collect their goods, but now the department store is hard to do that.

Moreover, the Chinese designer's special disadvantage is to close behind the doors. Many times, what he has done is said to be truthfully liked by the market.
