Vietnam Exported Footwear Products To US $3 Billion 200 Million In October.

According to the figures released by Vietnam leather goods and Footwear Association in November 6th, the export income of Vietnamese footwear products in the former October reached US $3 billion 200 million, an increase of 9.9% over the same period last year.

In October alone, Vietnam's footwear exports amounted to US $280 million.

The main export markets for Vietnamese footwear are the European Union, the United States and Japan.

Vietnam's footwear exports are expected to reach $3 billion 900 million to $4 billion 100 million this year, up from about $3 billion 600 million last year, the association said.

Vietnam is encouraging footwear manufacturers to diversify their products. In addition to expanding exports to the three major markets of Europe, the United States and Japan, Vietnam also strengthens exports to emerging markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Middle East, Africa and Russia.

In 2010, Vietnam planned to export footwear products to 6 billion 200 million to 6 billion 500 million dollars.
