The restructuring plan will focus on solving the problems of suspension of payment of technology reform fund scheme loans, packing and lending of foreign funds, liquidity assistance, interest rate subsidies for export textiles and clothing, and so on.


Sharma outlined many of the proactive steps taken by the government to solve the decline in the textile industry.

These steps include the resumption of the cotton yarn duty certificate scheme (DEPB), which came into force in April 11, 2011 and incorporated cotton exports into the open general licence category.
