Yesterday, the Guangdong inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced the sampling inspection of import and export commodities outside the catalogue in 2014. For the imported unqualified products purchased by the market, the Guangdong inspection and Quarantine Bureau has asked all of these products to go off the shelves, and the quality of the sales shops with unqualified batches has been interviewed, requiring these businesses to rectify and submit the rectification reports.

The Guangdong inspection and Quarantine Bureau sampled 273 batches of import and export textile and garment products, and 87 batches of unqualified products were detected, with an unqualified rate of 31.9%.

The unqualified items mainly relate to color fastness, pH, formaldehyde, fiber content, marking, safety of small parts, etc.

Among them, Adidas, UNIQLO, H&M and other international famous brands were found to have unqualified products, and these substandard products were all produced in Southeast Asia.

In the 31 batch of samples for Adidas, 2 batches of short sleeved tops were found to be out of national mandatory standards, and the products were all from Indonesia.

At the same time, the size of the black short sleeved jacket with a size of Z29353 is found to exceed the national mandatory standard of pH.

Reporters found it in Taobao, Jingdong mall, and excellent online. As of yesterday afternoon, except for Taobao, other online shopping centers have already set off the product.

For the 15 batch of H&M products, 5 batches of products were found to be out of line with our mandatory standard requirements. Among the 2 batches produced in Kampuchea, the fiber content of 1 batches of products produced in Pakistan and Bangladesh was deviated from the actual value.

Spot checks for brands

The 22 batch of products (UNIQLO) includes a batch of products.

The fiber content of the production is not consistent with the label of the tag. The measured value of the pH value of a batch of products produced in Indonesia is 8.9, which exceeds the national standard.

The 5 batch of products selected for brand name KOOKAI is totally out of line with the national mandatory standards, which are produced in Tunisia, Italy, Turkey, India and Hongkong, China.

From the results of this sampling survey, there are mainly unqualified items such as use instructions (identification), fiber composition and content, slippage, pH value and color fastness in routine items.
