They are more willing to buy goods from overseas factories in these countries. These become the important reasons for attracting domestic textile and garment enterprises to accelerate the construction of overseas factories.

On the other hand, the lower labor costs of these Southeast Asian countries can reduce production costs. But everything is two sides. The lower level of labor does not bring about high efficiency and high productivity, but the quality of labor in Southeast Asian countries is generally low. The same work can be finished in the domestic factories one day, and the overseas factories in Southeast Asia may take two or three days, or even a week, and the quality is not guaranteed. Therefore, these have become a constraint factor for domestic garment enterprises to layout overseas factories. In order to improve the quality of labor force, enterprises also need to make great efforts to carry out quality education and training for employees, which has also increased labor costs. The simple production environment and relatively backward productivity level of Southeast Asian countries also restrict the development of production.
