Canada Post Takes UBI To Push Special Line To Seize Market

Misko Kancko, director of international business development, recently attended the "cross border logistics exchange forum" hosted by UBI Smart Parcel, the top 50 logistics company in China. The Canadian special line jointly launched by both sides was introduced in depth.

Reporters learned that the line products, because of fast aging, reasonable prices, stable distribution, the whole process can be followed up inquiries, customs clearance fast and so on, and attracted the attention of participants sellers.

Misko Kancko revealed that in Canada online pactions, nearly 2/3 of the package was sent by Canadian post.

The "Expedited" service of post star packet products is very popular with local consumers because of its high price performance ratio.

In 2014, the growth rate of "Expedited" services exceeded 30%, far exceeding the growth rate of 5% registered small packages.

In cooperation with China's UBI Smart Parcel in pushing the Canadian special line, Canada Post, in line with the local people's preferences, enables China's (Hongkong) Canada gate to door "Expedited" service to carry out local distribution, while the domestic segment is responsible for collecting and arranging commercial flights through the UBI Smart Parcel.

From the perspective of timeliness, under the premise that the whole process can be checked, from domestic collection, long-distance pportation to the delivery in Canada, the whole journey only takes 3-8 working days, but the price is much more favourable than the existing business express and small packages.

At present, UBI has operation stations in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Yiwu and other regions, and can arrange door-to-door pick ups according to the needs of Chinese sellers (sellers can also arrange their own delivery to UBI's local operation stations).

UBI's IT system has also completed docking with Canada Post, and can query 30 packets of information at the same time at UBI's search website.

They believe that the special line logistics can better satisfy the requirements of the consumers in developed countries for the time, stability and safety of distribution, and the price is reasonable and consumers are willing to undertake it.

At the same time, the development of private logistics is not restricted by the pricing agreement of the Universal Postal Union, and can effectively increase revenue.

The advantage of business operation is that it will provide more secure services.

The reporter understands that the mainstream logistics products used by Chinese sellers are still registered packets. The parcels sent to Canada are mainly made up of ordinary bags and registration. Though cheap, the time and stability (such as the most easily blocked up and delayed in the peak season) are not high enough to achieve full tracking, while some other business express and small package services are not sold because of the price.

This time, Canada Post and UBI push the Canadian line product is expected to fill the gap between the two services, that is, the delivery time and stability is higher than the registered packet, and the price is more intimate than the business express.

In addition, the seller can make use of tariff calculation tools provided by UBI to calculate the amount of tariff that may be paid.

Moreover, the special line is more relaxed than the registered packet for the size of the package, so long as the length is not more than 2 meters, the length of the smallest surface is not more than 3 meters, it can be delivered smoothly.

It needs to be reminded that the special line launched by Canada Post with UBI will be officially introduced to the mainland and Hongkong market in May 18th.

At the same time, it will carry out a month's promotion activities in the two places (from May 18th to June 17th), and the mainland seller's single ticket freight pportation cost 50 yuan to return to 5 yuan, reaching 100 yuan to return 10 yuan.

Hongkong sellers' single ticket freight charges amounted to HK $60 and returned to HK $6, which amounted to HK $120 and returned to HK $12.
