According to the briefing, at present, China has reached 14 FTA agreements with 22 countries and regions including ASEAN, Chile, Switzerland, New Zealand, South Korea and Australia. It is also working with the countries concerned to push forward the negotiations on the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP), the China Japan Korea Free Trade zone and the China ASEAN Free Trade Area upgrading, and gradually build a high level free trade area network covering the whole world.

Gao Hucheng said that China is an active participant, defender and contributor of the multilateral trading system. It advocates that the multilateral trading system represented by WTO is the main channel of Global trade rules. Regional trade liberalization is a useful supplement, and they promote each other and develop together.

China is open to relevant countries' active exploration of rules and regulations in trade and investment related fields.

At the same time, since the establishment of the multilateral trading system in 1995, it has played an irreplaceable role in Global trade and investment liberalization and world economic growth.

China believes that WTO members will not easily give up the multilateral trading system that benefits the global economy. The parties will work together to support the early completion of the WTO Doha Round negotiations and truly realize the development goals jointly formulated by all members.
