Yunnan National Traditional Costumes Show Four New Stunning Exhibitions

In order to carry forward the fine traditional culture of our province, we will display colorful traditional costumes.

On the evening of January 8, 2016, sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial Department of culture, the provincial cultural production office and the Yunnan Arts University, the Yunnan ethnic group was hosted by the Yunnan intangible cultural heritage protection center, Yunnan Arts University Design Institute, Drama Institute and Conservatory of music.

The exhibition was opened at the concert hall of Yunnan Arts University (Chenggong campus).

This exhibition consists of 203 sets.

Before coming to the stage, it covers the clothing and costumes of 26 ethnic groups and their respective branches in the whole province.

In recent years, Yunnan province is the largest traditional ethnic group with the largest scale of organization, the most complete branch of clothing group and the most ornamental and research value.

In addition to the performance of professional models, more active members of ethnic groups wear ethnic costumes to attend the show.

At the same time in the evening of January 9th, the second performances will continue to last night.

It is worth mentioning that in the same period of the exhibition, there are second, third training courses on "heritage of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage" sponsored by the Ministry of culture of Yunnan and the Design Institute of Yunnan Arts University. Among the 150 trainees from 16 cities in Yunnan, 70 of the students' traditional costumes were finalists.

In addition to our well-known national costumes, there are many traditional ethnic costumes with fewer appearances and distinctive styles on the stage.

It is understood that the organizers hope that through this exhibition, in the full national costumes of ethnic minorities, we can show the feeling of history, humanity, environment and creativity in the development process of ethnic minorities. We will publicize the cultural charm of Yunnan with the help of tradition and creativity, promote the cultural value of Yunnan, and bring new visual experience to the world and China.

It is reported that the school of design of Yunnan Arts University will also introduce a large-scale pictorial album, "the atlas of traditional costumes of Yunnan", to hold a symposium on Yunnan's traditional ethnic costumes, so that more friends from all over the country who love national dress will have the opportunity to appreciate the different styles of Yunnan, and promote the promotion and popularization of the traditional costumes culture in Yunnan.
