Ministry Of Agriculture And Rural Areas: China'S Cotton Import And Export Situation In The 1 Quarter Of 2019
The import and export volume of China's agricultural products in the 1 quarter of 2019 was US $51 billion 460 million, an increase of 3.1% over the same period last year.
Among them, exports were 17 billion 320 million US dollars, minus 3.2%; imports 34 billion 140 million US dollars, increased by 6.6%; the trade deficit was 16 billion 820 million US dollars, increasing 19%.
Cotton: in the 1 quarter of 2019, it imported 688 thousand tons, an increase of 94.7% compared with the same period last year, and imports amounted to 1 billion 330 million US dollars, an increase of 98.3%.
In addition, cotton substitution product cotton yarn [1] imports 476 thousand tons, an increase of 3.5%.
