In 2019, the auction amount of reserve cotton decreased, so far, most of the cotton reserves retained by most textile mills have already bottomed out. At present, textile mills are buying new raw materials such as Xinjiang cotton, futures warehouse cotton, real estate new cotton and imported cotton. The real estate new cotton is favored by spinning enterprises because of its good use effect.

According to several small and medium-sized textile mills, the quality, color, length, strength and uniformity of new cotton in Anhui's cotton growing areas are better than those of last year. The results are as follows: color grade white cotton grade 2-3, fiber length in 27-28mm interval, micron value in 4.90-5.20 interval, fracture strength 28.00-32.00 interval, uniformity 81.50-84.50 interval. Because of the better fracture strength and uniformity index, the yarn strength is good and the strength is even. It is understood that many textile mills are starting to use real estate new cotton, and some small factories have occupied the main proportion of new cotton.
