According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, in the first half of the year, the national online retail sales reached 6.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 23.2% year-on-year, and an average growth of 15.0% in two years; Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods were 5.03 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 18.7% and an average growth of 16.5% in the two years, accounting for 23.7% of the total retail sales of consumer goods, an increase of 3 percentage points compared with the beginning of the year, contributing 20% to the growth of total retail sales of consumer goods. development

According to the business big data monitoring, the national online retail market in the first half of the year mainly presents the following characteristics:

First, the momentum of consumption upgrading has not decreased. Health consumption has become increasingly popular. The sales of swimming, football, yoga and other related sports goods increased by 128.9%, 106.2% and 55.1% respectively“ During the "618" promotion activities of e-commerce platforms, the sales volume of domestic brands accounted for more than 70%.

Second, online service consumption continued to recover. Online catering consumption picked up, sales increased by 48.2% year-on-year, of which, in store catering increased by 93.1%. Online tourism sales increased 71.6% year on year.

Third, the western region grew rapidly. In the first half of the year, online retail sales in the western region increased by 32.1% year-on-year, faster than that of the whole country for five consecutive months; Online retail sales in central, Eastern and Northeast China increased by 21.5%, 20.3% and 13.0% respectively.

Fourth, rural e-commerce developed rapidly. In the first half of the year, China's rural online retail sales reached 954.93 billion yuan, up 21.6% year on year; Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods in rural areas reached 866.31 billion yuan, up 21.0% year on year. The rise of agricultural products continued to recover, and the national online retail sales of agricultural products reached 208.82 billion yuan.

Fifth, the momentum of cross-border e-commerce is strong. According to customs statistics, the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce reached 886.7 billion yuan in the first half of the year, up 28.6% year-on-year. Among them, exports reached 603.6 billion yuan, an increase of 44.1%; Imports were 283.1 billion yuan, up 4.6%. Business big data monitoring on key cross-border e-commerce import platforms shows that the import volume of goods originating from Japan, the United States and South Korea ranks the top three.

Sixth, the format and mode of business are constantly innovated. New modes such as live e-commerce, reverse customization and instant delivery have a good development momentum, and the multi-level and personalized consumption demand has been met.
