Gap Shutting Down 189 Stores In The Us To Strengthen China

The Associated Press reported today that it plans to close 189 Gap stores in the United States by the end of 2013, or 21% of the US stores.
In China, GAAP hopes to increase the number of stores to 3 times, from about 15 at the end of this year to about 45 at the end of next year.
The report said the move was related to Gap's previous goals.
He said it would reduce the total number of square feet in the US by 10% from the end of 2013, and double its revenues outside the United States by the end of 2013, reaching the end of 2013.
