Shanghai University Of Engineering Science Holds The Signing Ceremony Of International Cooperation And Exchanges With Pakistan National Textile University

In May 29th, the signing ceremony of the international cooperation and exchange agreement between Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Pakistan National Textile University was held in video form. The deputy party secretary and principal Xia Jianguo met with the president of Tanveer Hussain, the National Textile University of Pakistan, and looked forward to the vision of cooperation between the two schools. The signing ceremony was presided over by Vice President Xia Chunming. The head of the international cooperation and exchange department and the textile and garment Institute attended the talks.

Xia Jianguo, deputy secretary and vice chancellor of the CPC Central Committee, thanked Pakistan National Textile University for its cooperation. He said the signing ceremony with Pakistan National Textile University is the first international cooperation and exchange activity since the outbreak of the new crown in Shanghai University of Engineering Science. The cooperative relationship between China and Pakistan has laid a solid foundation for cooperation and exchanges between the two schools. President Xia is very optimistic about the scientific research and talent training characteristics and strength of the foreign textile industry. He firmly believes that the strong professional alliance between the two schools will open up wider international cooperation areas for both sides and explore new opportunities for common development.

President of Tanveer Hussain of Pakistan National Textile University expressed heartfelt thanks to Shanghai University of Engineering Science for its meticulous arrangement and meticulous preparation for the video signing ceremony. He said that Pakistan National Textile University, as the oldest and largest textile university in Pakistan, plays a key role in the development of its economy and textile industry. President Tanveer Hussain expressed full confidence and ardent expectation for the two schools to carry out long-term and friendly cooperation at various levels and in various fields.

Under the testimony of the participants, President Xia Jianguo and Tanveer Hussain formally signed the two schools' international cooperation and exchange agreement. Pakistan National Textile University is the first Pakistan partner of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. The cooperation between the two schools is of great significance to the educational exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai University of Engineering Science and the universities in South Asian countries along the "one belt and one road".

Pakistan National Textile University was founded in 1959. It has four major colleges, namely, engineering technology, science, management science, humanities and Social Sciences, providing undergraduate, master and doctoral education. As the first textile discipline in Pakistan, the university has provided important academic and scientific support for the local economic industry in textile engineering, design, polymer engineering and textile management and marketing.
