The survey shows that the number of bolls and flowers of upland cotton is slightly higher than that of the same period of previous years, and the total number of flowers and bolls per mu of long staple cotton is significantly higher than that of the same period of previous years. It is predicted that the total cotton yield in this region will increase slightly.

Cotton is one of the main sources of income for local farmers. According to the statistics of the regional agricultural and rural Bureau, in 2021, the cotton planting area in the region is 7.1 million mu, including 6.45 million mu of upland cotton and 650 000 mu of long staple cotton. The main planting areas are Aksu City, Awati County, Shaya county and other counties (cities).
