The 5Th Chairman In Office Meeting Of The 5Th Shandong Textile And Garment Industry Association Was Successfully Held

On February 20, 2025, the fifth rotating chairman meeting of the fifth session of Shandong Textile and Clothing Industry Association was successfully held in Zibo, Shandong Province. The meeting was presided over by Yang Jichao, former vice president of China Textile Industry Federation and convener of the presidium of Shandong Textile and Clothing Industry Association.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Yang Jichao made an opening speech, expressing a warm welcome to the guests, and briefly introduced the agenda and significance of the meeting.

Subsequently, Xia Lingmin, Secretary General of the China Textile Industry Federation, issued a report on the development of the national textile industry. The domestic market performance will be strong in 2023. Although the growth rate will slow down in 2024, the overall prospect will still be good. There are obvious differences among enterprises. Large enterprises, Internet enterprises and enterprises in specific fields have their own characteristics. In the face of complex market environment, efficient collaboration between industrial clusters and supply chains is becoming increasingly important. Secretary General Xia also mentioned that the export of the textile industry will grow in 2024. Despite the international competition and price pressure, the industry will show tenacity in adjustment and innovation. In the future, tariff policies and changes in the international market will profoundly affect the industry, especially the fluctuations in the U.S. market. The industry needs to actively transform and upgrade, avoid vicious competition, and rely on innovation and collaboration to achieve sustainable development.

Zhu Lihua, chairman of Shandong Textile and Clothing Industry Association and chairman of Dishang Group, stressed in his speech that the Association will continue to play a role as a bridge to help enterprises cope with the challenges of global competition. He pointed out that on the basis of scale advantages, Shandong textile and clothing industry still needs to make up for brand influence and technology application weaknesses, especially in the face of digital and AI technology waves, only by accelerating industrial intelligent upgrading can we reshape the value chain and seize new outlets.

Liu Jianguo, Executive Chairman, reported the work achievements of the Association in 2024 and the 2025 plan. In the past year, the Association promoted the collaborative innovation of the industrial chain through the "chain leader system", held industry summits, fashion releases and other activities to promote the integration of industry and finance, support the energy conservation and emission reduction of the printing and dyeing industry, improve the level of green production, deepen the integration of industry and education, and cultivate high-quality technical talents. In 2025, the Association will continue to strengthen the leadership of party building, focus on scientific and technological innovation and intelligent transformation, create a "Fashion Shandong" brand matrix, and promote high-quality development of the industry.

Cai Xiaoping, vice chairman of Shandong Textile and Garment Industry Association, introduced the Guidelines for the Cultivation and Development of New Quality Productivity of Shandong Textile and Garment Industry Chain. The Guidance was commissioned by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province. The guidance period is from 2025 to 2027. With innovation driven and talent led as the core, it promotes the transformation of the industrial chain to high-end, intelligent and green.

After in-depth discussion and research at the president's office meeting, the meeting announced that Liu Zibin, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the board of Lutai Textile Co., Ltd., was elected as the new rotating president of Shandong Textile and Clothing Industry Association. Liu Zibin, the new rotating president, first thanked the Association for its trust and support, and said that he would lead the industry to cope with complex opportunities and challenges. He put forward three major development initiatives: first, to unite universities and research institutes to tackle key digital and intelligent technologies; Second, implement the "double carbon" strategy, build a green supply chain, and strive to make "Made in Shandong" a representative of sustainable fashion; Third, strengthen synergy and linkage, promote the differentiated development of industrial clusters in the province, and promote collaborative innovation of upstream and downstream. He stressed that the industry should take "innovation driven, green transformation, openness and synergy, and win-win value" as the main line to jointly address the challenges of international competition and changes in consumer demand.

The representatives of the rotating president unit spoke in turn, sharing the development achievements in 2024 and the work plan for 2025. Weiqiao Textile continues to promote intelligent transformation and low-carbon development, and is committed to technological innovation and green factory construction to enhance its core competitiveness; Nanshan Zhishang Technology promotes industrial upgrading and transformation, improves production efficiency and fashion competitiveness by adjusting product structure and technological innovation; In the face of external challenges, Daiyin Group actively develops domestic and foreign markets, promotes intelligent and green transformation, and improves market share and operating efficiency; Jifa Group strengthened the "double circulation" strategy, focused on scientific and technological innovation and digital transformation, and accelerated intelligent and green development. All units jointly emphasized innovation driven, green development and market expansion, and expressed a strong consensus on collaborative innovation and common development of the industry.

At the end of the meeting, President Yang Jichao made a concluding speech. He spoke highly of the meeting and thanked all the guests for their positive speeches. Yang Jichao stressed that this meeting not only summarized the work achievements of the past year, but also pointed out the direction for future development. Facing the complex and changeable market environment, enterprises must be firm in confidence, face difficulties, actively transform and upgrade, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Shandong textile and clothing industry.
